Exactly that. Your mail client sends an multipart/alternative MIME
message with both HTML and plaintext parts. I expected this to be
handled fine by the application (which should choose the text/plain part
and display it), but I’m not sure why it doesn’t; I can’t reproduce the
phenomenon locally. I have set up the application to store whatever it
sees into a separate directory when the next message of this kind
arrives, so until then I have to wait until someone of you sends a
multipart/alternative mail to the mailinglist I can then analyse :-)

My mail client just sends a single text/plain message, which is parsed
by the forum just fine.
