Bowser Jr,
We have been working toward Release 2.0 of Secret Maryo Chronicles.  Scripting (in Ruby), new enemies, art overhauls, and music changes are all in the works.  An actual release is in reach.
To be more exact we are changing the name of the game to "The Secret Chronicles of Dr. M". This is in order to remove "Maryo", a clear reference to "Mario". We are likewise aggressively swapping out Mario graphics with new, original graphics and removing Mario-like music.
We currently have up to 4 programmers, 3 artists, 3 musicians (we just contacted each of them), and a number of beta testers. Quintus is the project lead, and Luiji is second in command. Besides doing coding, I am also leading the story development effort.
I know you used to be help lead a lot of the efforts in Secret Maryo Chronicles as well as do forum administration.  We also would appreciate any help you can offer with programming.
Also, your Mountain Trials level is THE level that could showcase scripting.  Its objectives would work really well with scripting.

Note that the old secretmaryo.org site is not well administered, and we are fighting spam bots so that we can keep it running just a little bit longer.  The website listed above has a new forum, and in github we use the bug/feature tracker.  Thus we are really using a combination of these two forums now.
