[tsc-devel] Music Acceptance Criteria...

It might be good to formalize (or semi-formalize) our music acceptance standards.
These are some possible thoughts:* At least 2 people other than the author should review a song (or an edit to a song) before it is pushed to github* At least 50% majority should be in favor of using a song for a given purpose in the game. If 2 reviewers review a song and disagree, a tie breaker will normally be needed.* A song should sit for at least 3 days (we can discuss this number) before being pushed to github to give people time to check it out. Obviously, if a team member is unavailable, they will miss a chance at reviewing, but the X day requirement gives some time with everyone's busy schedules.
I'm not eager to over legalize this procedure, though we probably do need some sort of rough procedure to follow at the least. We already have rigorous coding (and semi rigorous) art standards. It is usually harder to remove a song than to add it. Don't get me wrong, we should work with musicians to try to find a way to use their music (or help them get it modified to a point where we can use it).
I can post this on the music forum, too, if desired. Even I have fallen into the habit of using the mailing list more than the forums. The regular forums don't tend to get many replies by comparison :O
