The 503 error is shown by Apache when it fails to connect to its
reverse proxy, which is the Chessboard instance. I.e. if you get this,
then the actual Chessboard instance is down. It was up a few days ago
as I last checked it. I need to check the logs to see what happened,
and see if I can fix it so it does not happen again.
On the new server, maybe xet7 can get some monitoring into place that
notifies us when an important web interface goes down.
Regarding datahead's comment in IRC. The forum software has been
heavily modified. Take a look at the announcement in the forum.

As I wrote above, the forum software has been drastically rewritten to
better integrate with the underlying mailinglist(s). I would
appreciate it if you gave uploading the attachments directly to the
forum a try again, it should not exhibit the problems the last version
had anymore.
