I just need to do more debugging. I’m sure once I find it out, it’s damn
easy. The main problem in the current setup is that the user running the
forum does not have access to the user archiving the mailinglist
mails. I’m using a bad setuid hack to give it the access (no the forum
itself does NOT run as setuid root of course!), but I’ve yet to find out
a way to persuade mlmmj to not use rw------- as the permission bits on
any files it stores.

As said, just more debugging. The programmer’s life is debugging,
debugging, and debugging. The debugging of a program is always the most
time-consuming part of developing it; planning and coding are minor
tasks compared to that. But hey, I like it :-)
