We have well over two weeks before April 9th, so I'm not sure how this would delay the general discussion.
This would actually allow over two weeks for these votes, giving us extra time to reach everyone.
What exactly do you mean by preparation time for the team nominations?

Actually, I'd suggest 3 votings be done this way:
* Vote on Kirbyfan64 as a team member
* Vote on Skarfester as a team member
* Vote on this topic: Modify voting rules document at https://github.com/Secretchronicles/documents/blob/master/votingrules/votingrules-2015-08-15.pdf so that additions of team members only require a 2/3rds majority of people who actually voted, rather than all existing team members. Otherwise it will be difficult to achieve a majority. The same would be true for team removals. Changes to the voting rules document itself will continue to require a 2/3rds majority of all existing team members.

We would then wrap up these votes during the general discussion if they were not already complete.
